I was commissioned by Guardian Weekend to make a feature story about teenage obesity - particularly radical bariatric surgery, as a treatment. Kirsty was the brave young woman who agreed to be interviewed and photographed, through appointments and hospital admission for her irriversible, life changing operation and to tell her story on this hugely complex issue.
